Tok, Alaska · Est. on the Alaska Highway
Hand-pulled espressos and small-batch cocktails in a space designed for lingering — because the best part of the journey isn't the destination. It's the pause.
A lounge is more than a place to sit. It's a moment of grace between miles — a warm light on a cold road, a well-crafted drink in your hand, and the quiet confidence that you're exactly where you're meant to be.
— Bears Den Lounge
Our Story
Bears Den Lounge sits along one of America's most storied routes — the Alaska Highway — where travelers have been seeking something beyond the next exit for generations. We built this space for them, and for the people of Tok who deserve a gathering place that matches the grandeur of the landscape around them.
By day, our barista team pulls single-origin espressos and crafts seasonal pour-overs that honor the craft. By night, our cocktail program transforms the room — small-batch spirits, house-made syrups, and flavors inspired by the boreal forest that surrounds us.
Whether you're passing through or calling this corner of the world home, we believe the best evenings begin with intention. That's what we built this den for.

We pulled off the highway after a long drive and walked in expecting a gas station stop. Instead we got the best cocktail we've had anywhere in Alaska. The Den Old Fashioned is worth the detour.
As a local, I'm so glad we finally have a place like this in Tok. The coffee is genuinely excellent — better than somewhere in Anchorage — and the atmosphere makes you want to stay for hours.
We celebrated our anniversary here and it was perfect. The staff made us feel special, the food was outstanding, and the ambiance is just — I don't know how to describe it. Elegant but not stuffy. We'll be back.
